22 January 2019: Sleeping incognito at the Airport

Sleeping incognito in a long-term parking lot is not very comfortable, but it is cheap,
and with all the security patrols roving the area it felt quite safe. My plane landed just
after eight in the evening at King Shaka Airport, Durban, and I managed to slip into
“Daai Dêng” without anyone noticing.
I designed the camper in such a manner so that one sets up the folding table, which
hangs behind the door, in the empty leg space. This, together with the storage bin
and the seats, create just enough space to stretch out and sleep without lifting the
roof. Not comfortable, but one remains incognito… as long as you don’t need to take
a leak.
After spending the morning at the Gateway shopping centre, stocking up on
supplies, I headed south to Pennington, and the next day through the Transkei to
Port Alfred.
